Décolletage Botox in Seoul |
Apgujeong EU:GENES Skin Clinic
The chest often shows sun damage and sleep creases long before the face. At Apgujeong EU:GENES Skin Clinic, we use finely spread botulinum toxin to soften chest lines as part of a thoughtful plan to refresh the décolletage.
What is Décolletage Botox?
Décolletage Botox, also called chest Botox, targets the vertical lines that form between the breasts and the fine creases across the upper chest. These lines often come from side sleeping, sun exposure and the movement of the chest and neck muscles, particularly the platysma, which extends from the jaw down onto the upper chest.
Very diluted botulinum toxin is placed in many tiny superficial points, a technique sometimes called microdroplet or micro Botox. This relaxes the fine muscle fibers that crease the skin and can give the chest a smoother look. It is an off-label but well-established aesthetic use.
Who Is It For?
Good candidates have fine to moderate vertical or crisscross lines on the chest, especially lines that deepen when they lean forward or wake up in the morning.
It is less suitable for:
- Deeply etched lines caused by significant sun damage, which need resurfacing or regenerative treatments
- Very loose, crepey skin that needs tightening
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone with a neuromuscular disorder
- Anyone with active skin infection or rash on the chest
Benefits
- Softer vertical lines between the breasts
- A smoother, more even upper chest
- Greater confidence in open necklines and swimwear
- Quick treatment with minimal downtime
- Complements skin boosters and neck treatments
Your Treatment at EU:GENES
During your 1:1 consultation, Dr. Jung Yoo-jin examines your chest standing and leaning forward, checks skin quality and sun damage, and asks about your sleeping position. She is honest about what toxin can and cannot do, and often suggests combining it with a skin booster for hydration and texture.
If suitable, the area is cleansed and Dr. Jung personally performs a series of shallow, evenly spaced micro-injections. The session usually takes around 15 minutes. It is often paired with Neck Botox so the neck and chest look consistent.
Results & How Long They Last
Lines typically start to soften after about one week, with the full effect at around two weeks. For most patients, results last 3 to 4 months. Using sunscreen daily and sleeping on your back where possible helps the result last and slows new line formation.
Downtime, Aftercare & Possible Side Effects
Small bumps and redness usually fade within an hour. Avoid tight clothing, heavy upper body workouts and hot baths on the day of treatment.
Possible side effects include pinpoint bruising, mild tenderness or temporary itching. Because doses are spread thinly and placed superficially, deeper muscle weakness is uncommon, but a temporary feeling of tightness can occur. Results vary, and deeply creased skin may show only partial improvement.
FAQ
Will this lift my breasts?
No. Chest Botox smooths lines on the skin surface. It does not lift the breasts or change their shape.
Why do I have lines only in the morning?
This is usually from side sleeping. Botox can help, but reducing compression during sleep matters too.
Is it painful?
Most patients feel only light pinpricks, as the needle is very fine and injections are superficial.
