What is crow's feet Botox?
The orbicularis oculi is a ring of muscle around each eye. When you smile, laugh or squint, its outer part contracts and creases the thin skin beside your eyes. These creases are called crow's feet, and they tend to appear earlier than other lines because the skin here is so delicate.
Crow's feet Botox places tiny amounts of botulinum toxin into the outer edge of this muscle. It softens the creasing without stopping you from closing your eyes or smiling. Lateral canthal lines, the medical name for crow's feet, are an FDA-approved use of botulinum toxin.
Who is it for?
This treatment suits adults who see lines at the corners of their eyes when they smile, or fine lines that stay after the smile fades. People who squint a lot, whether from sun or screens, often notice these lines early.
It is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular disorder, have an active infection near the eyes, or are allergic to botulinum toxin. If the lines are caused mainly by loose skin or fine crepey texture rather than muscle movement, Botox will help less. In your 1:1 consultation, Dr. Jung Yoo-jin asks you to smile broadly and then relax. She looks at where the lines fan out, how far they extend toward the cheek, and whether one side is stronger than the other. This matters because treating too low can affect the smile itself.

Results & how long they last
Most people see softening within 3 to 5 days, with the full result at about two weeks. The effect typically lasts three to four months. Because the muscle around the eyes is thin, the dose needed is usually small.
Downtime, aftercare & possible side effects
You can usually return to your day right away. The skin around the eyes bruises more easily than other areas, so a small bruise is possible. Concealer can be used the next day.
After treatment, avoid rubbing your eyes, lying flat for four hours, strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for the rest of the day. Possible side effects include bruising, swelling, mild headache, a slight change in the look of your smile, and, rarely, dry eyes or temporary double vision if the product spreads. These effects are temporary.
