Chin Filler in Seoul |  Apgujeong EU:GENES Skin Clinic

A well-shaped chin quietly balances the whole face. At Apgujeong EU:GENES Skin Clinic, Dr. Jung Yoo-jin uses chin filler to improve projection and proportion, always keeping your natural features in mind.

What is chin filler?

Chin filler is a non-surgical treatment that uses a firm hyaluronic acid filler to add length, projection or definition to the chin. A small change here can make the nose look smaller, the jawline cleaner and the profile more harmonious.

Many patients are surprised to find that the chin, not the nose or lips, was the missing piece in their facial balance.

Who is it for?

Chin filler may suit you if you have:

  • A short or receding chin in profile
  • A soft or undefined chin point
  • Mild asymmetry of the chin
  • A dimpled or "pebbly" chin texture from muscle activity (often combined with Botox)

It is not ideal for significant jaw misalignment or bite problems, which may need orthodontic or surgical care. Treatment is also postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active infection or dental work in progress nearby, or if you have a filler allergy.

Benefits

  • Improves profile balance with nose and lips
  • Creates a sharper, more defined lower face
  • Can visually lengthen a short lower face
  • Long-lasting compared with softer areas
  • Quick treatment with minimal downtime

Your treatment at EU:GENES

In your 1:1 consultation, Dr. Jung assesses your face from the front, side and three-quarter views, and while you talk and smile. She considers the relationship between chin, lips and nose, and whether ideal proportions differ for your features and goals.

Once the design is agreed, the doctor personally injects the filler, usually placing it deep against the bone for structure. She shapes the result on the spot and checks symmetry with you in a mirror. Aftercare instructions and WhatsApp follow-up are included, so help is always a message away.

Results and how long they last

The change is immediate. Swelling is usually mild and settles within a few days. Because the chin is a structural, relatively stable area, results typically last 12 to 18 months for most patients, sometimes longer.

Downtime, aftercare and possible side effects

You may notice tenderness, firmness or small bruises for several days, and the chin may feel tight when you smile at first. Avoid pressing on the area, face-down sleeping, strenuous exercise and alcohol for about 24 to 48 hours.

Possible side effects include asymmetry, lumps, and infection. As with any filler, there is a small risk of vascular occlusion, where filler affects a blood vessel. Careful technique minimizes risk, and you should contact us at once if you notice severe pain or changes in skin color.

Frequently asked questions

Will chin filler make my face look longer?

Only if length is part of the plan. Filler can be placed to project forward rather than downward.

Can chin filler help a double chin?

Adding definition to the chin can improve the look of the neck-chin angle, but it does not remove fat.

What pairs well with chin filler?

Jawline filler for a continuous contour, or chin Botox for a dimpled texture.
