Cheek Filler in Seoul |  Apgujeong EU:GENES Skin Clinic

Well-supported cheeks lift and brighten the whole face. At Apgujeong EU:GENES Skin Clinic, Dr. Jung Yoo-jin uses cheek filler to restore contour gently, so you look refreshed rather than altered.

What is cheek filler?

Cheek filler places hyaluronic acid filler over the cheekbones and in the mid-cheek to restore lost volume or add gentle contour. As we age, the fat pads in the midface shrink and move downward, which can flatten the cheeks and deepen lines below them.

Replacing a little support in the right places can lift the midface, soften shadows and give a healthier, more youthful shape.

Who is it for?

Cheek filler may suit you if you notice:

  • Flat or hollow cheeks from aging or weight loss
  • Deepening smile lines as the midface descends
  • A tired look even when well-rested
  • A wish for more defined cheekbones

It is not the right fit for everyone. If your cheeks are already full, adding more can create the heavy "pillow face" look we aim to avoid. Filler is also postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active skin infection, or with a filler allergy.

Benefits

  • Restores a lifted, youthful midface
  • Can soften smile lines indirectly
  • Adds definition to cheekbones
  • Natural-looking when done conservatively
  • Long-lasting compared with many areas

Your treatment at EU:GENES

Your visit starts with a 1:1 consultation with Dr. Jung. She studies your face from the front, sides and at a three-quarter angle, and watches how your cheeks move when you smile. This helps her identify where volume is truly missing rather than simply filling the cheek as a whole.

The design focuses on support and lift. The doctor performs the treatment herself, typically placing filler deep near the bone and blending softer product where needed. You will check the result together, then receive aftercare guidance and ongoing WhatsApp support.

Results and how long they last

The lift is visible immediately. Mild swelling fades within a few days, and the final result settles in about two weeks. For most patients, cheek filler lasts around 12 to 18 months.

Downtime, aftercare and possible side effects

Expect some tenderness and possibly light bruising or swelling for several days. Try to sleep on your back for the first couple of nights, avoid pressing on the cheeks, and skip facials, saunas, alcohol and heavy exercise for about 48 hours.

Possible side effects include asymmetry, lumps or migration of filler. Vascular occlusion, where filler affects a blood vessel, is uncommon but possible in any facial area. Seek help right away if you notice severe pain or blanching.

Frequently asked questions

Will cheek filler make my face look bigger?

Placed well, it lifts rather than widens. We keep the amount modest and build up only if needed.

Can cheek filler help my smile lines?

Often, yes. Supporting the midface can reduce the fold, and some patients also benefit from smile line filler for the remainder.

Can I combine it with skin treatments?

Yes. Collagen-stimulating treatments like Thermage FLX can complement volume restoration.
